Clementine Rose and the Paris Puzzle Page 7

Clementine felt something tickle her nose. She looked up and could hardly believe her eyes. ‘It’s snowing!’ she gasped, and stuck out her tongue to catch some flakes.

‘Goodness, that has to be the most exciting end to a holiday I’ve ever had,’ Uncle Digby said. ‘Although I think I’ll need another one after all that rushing about.’

‘Indeed,’ Aunt Violet sniffed. ‘Perhaps Clarissa can win us an island getaway.’

‘So you’re going on holidays together, just the two of you?’ Clementine said. She waggled her eyebrows, beaming as the soft snow caught in her lashes.

Aunt Violet rolled her eyes. ‘Oh, don’t be ridiculous, Clementine. We’d kill each other in a minute.’

Uncle Digby grinned and the others laughed.

‘You know, I really don’t think that’s true,’ Clementine said, and Lavender squealed as if to agree.
